Dealing with the damp Let’s be honest: bathrooms are a nightmare for electronics. Steam and splashes are everywhere. To keep things from shorting out, we wrap everything in IP-rated enclosures that lock out moisture. The quartz glass is the real hero here. It can go from a chilly 20°C to a blistering 600°C in a heartbeat without cracking. We also put special seals around the wiring so steam can’t sneak in and fry the terminals. One heads-up for the electricians: these lamps pull a lot of power the moment they click on. Make sure your circuit breakers can handle that initial surge, or you’ll be replacing them more often than you’d like. Getting the setup right To get that high-end, luxury feel, you need a lot of power in a small space. The downside? The lamp surface gets hot enough to burn you if you touch it. We fix that with steel mesh or tempered glass guards. Safety first. Then there’s the height. It’s a bit of a balancing act. If you mount them too low, it’s like standing too close to a campfire—too intense. Too high, and you lose that cozy, radiant feeling.
