Not so much. When these heaters run at full load, they go through a constant cycle of heating up and cooling down. That “OEM-grade” sealant eventually shrinks or degrades. Because the seal is so much tougher, the lead-wire is stiffer. You can’t just bend these wires at a sharp angle right where they enter the housing. If you do, you risk cracking the sealant. Just give the cable a nice, generous drip loop, and you’re golden.
