You don’t always need to drop a fortune on a brand-new machine just to get more bottles out the door. If you’re running an older line, the bottleneck is almost always the oven. It’s frustrating. You want to speed up, but your preforms aren’t hitting the right temperature fast enough. So, you’re stuck slowing down the whole cycle just to make sure the plastic is actually ready. The quickest fix? Swap out those old lamps for high-output quartz infrared tubes. The secret is in the heat density. We’ve designed these tubes to pack a punch. By cranking up the wattage and optimizing the voltage (we usually aim for 400V to keep things steady in an industrial setting), we get way more heat hitting every square millimeter of the plastic. The preform reaches that “sweet spot” for molding much faster. Plus, the heat spreads more evenly across the PET wall. That means you stop seeing those annoying thin spots in your finished bottles. No need to rip out your wiring. We use high-purity fused quartz so the tubes don’t warp or crack when things get hot. The best part? Most of these use R7s or Sk15 connectors. Here’s the thing: more heat puts more stress on your gear. When you switch to higher-wattage tubes, your oven’s cooling fans have to work harder. If your vents are clogged with dust or just too small, the oven housing will overheat. That’s a recipe for burnt-out lamps or distorted bottles. Do yourself a favor and check your airflow before you go for the highest wattage available. Once you get that balance right, you can finally crank up the speed without worrying about your quality dipping.
