The tube itself is about 300mm long, and that combo is all about one thing: focused heat, fast. It doesn’t waste energy trying to warm the whole room. Instead, it delivers warmth right where you need it. The physics are simple enough: pack a lot of power into a small space, and you get a rapid temperature rise. But that kind of heat density also means the heater needs a solid mounting setup and proper clearance, so the surrounding area doesn’t get too hot.
The Details That Make It Last
We use a halogen-filled quartz tube because it can handle the shock of being turned on and off again and again. That halogen cycle is what keeps the filament stable, so the bulb doesn’t burn out prematurely. The tube also has a protective coating, which fights back against moisture and the constant etching from steam. Then there’s the connection. We use an R7s connector. It’s a double-ended linear fitting that gives us a secure, low-resistance connection. It makes wiring simpler, and it ensures the lamp stays firmly in place, even if there’s a little vibration.
